Game of the Week day! Allora and the Broken Portal

Hello hello!

Today's blog entry is convenient yet slightly lazy, but don't shoot! Lol, I just happened to find my favourite game this week while trying out the Daily Deal, so :P

To the ever-brief entry, then!

Allora and the Broken Portal is YET ANOTHER hidden object game (I'm sorry I just like them so much @.@) where you play a simple human who has to fine-tune a portal that a super powerful wizard made, but kindly forgot to have someone check.  Soooo, you go on a mission with an elf girl and her mouse friend to find all the crystals that power this portal, so you can find the Wizard and (gasp here) save the world!  K, maybe not the WORLD, but....

I looooove the graphics in this game.  It reminds me of cartoons from when I was younger, all flowy and pretty and enchanted and WHEE!  I know, I'm such a girl.  Soundtrack is lovely too, it's subtle and appropriate.  As far as gameplay goes, it's really nice.  Each scene/environment is a hidden object scene, and you search through for each item on the list until the area is cleared and you find the required number of crystals.  Items on the list highlighted in orange are functional and go to your inventory for more puzzle fun.  There's also the occasional puzzle which is nice.  It's a moderate casual game, I'd think, as it's pretty easy to take myself away from while at the same time able to hold my attention if I've nothing to do.  A STEAL at the discounted price, definitely worth it at full :)
