April 21st, Genre Rotation - Marble Popper!

Hello hello!

Today should be two games, so sorry for being a bit late, my sleep schedule has yet to catch up!

Let's start with the Daily Deal shall we?

Fiction Fixers: Curse of Oz is the sequel to Fiction Fixers: Alice in Wonderland (which I haven't played yet, so plz don't ask lol).  You're now a full-fledged Fixer, and are sent on the Oz mission on your own because your buddy's caught up in another book.  So, it's up to you to journey through the land of Oz and fix all the problems that the evil wizards brought about.

Gameplay is your typical hidden object, which is a bit of a combination of Treasure Seekers (construct pieces within environments) and oh, say..... Dark Parables and other series like that (off-scene hidden objects to find tools).  Not too bad for difficulty, and the tutorial is helpful.  Graphics are alright, but I feel like it could've been a bit better in the in-game scenarios.  Soundtrack is cute, but nothing spectacular.

Now for the Genre Rotation!  This week I decided to try my luck at Marble Poppers, which are delightful.  Today's feature is:

In the Luxor Bundle Pack, you get the first two Luxor games.  They're pretty much straight-up marble popping goodness, you match three marbles of the same colour and POOF they go!  There's bonuses like Slow, Stop, Reverse, Colour Bomb, etc.  Collect coins and jewels for added scoring and progress your way through the levels as they get more difficult.

As far as games go, they're delightful for the light casual gamer.  Easy enough to get into, and easy enough to remove yourself from if you get distracted or have something to do.  Graphics are alright for early marble poppers, probably best played non-fullscreen.  Soundtrack is WIN!  I love the Egyptian-sounding epic music.

Have a good one!
