April 27th - More Catching Up!

Alrighty then!

Today's two features are the Daily Deal (duh) and my personal favourite from my try-pile last week.

Jojo's Fashion Show: World Tour is the sequel to Jojo's Fashion Show.  It's a cute game, where you travel across the world showcasing your FABULOUS outfits.

There's no discernible plot, it's mostly a bunch of stages where you put outfits together and showcase them for a score.  You also have the option to edit and design outfits of your own, so it definitely lets you exercise a bit of the creative side.  Graphics are okay, they're very much like paper doll kind of motifs, probably could have been a bit smoother but otherwise I liked it.  The soundtrack is really repetitive and upbeat, much like the background music on the runway which made it appropriate if a little annoying at times.  It's worth it at the discounted price, but I don't think I'd spend full price on it.

Now, for my faaaaaaaaavourite game that I tried last week.

Empress of the Deep 2: Song of the Blue Whale is the sequel to Empress of the Deep: The Darkest Secret which was featured last week.

This lovely sequel follows Anna, the girl who discovers the secret of her past in an underwater colony.  Now, Anna's on the surface, and must make her way to the Sky Temple to save the imprisoned children and bring harmony back to the world and rescue animal guardians.

Gameplay for this was wonderful.  Not too difficult but not too easy either.  Graphics and soundtrack were both phenomenal, and the story was unique, if a little predictable in some parts.  I really enjoyed this game, found myself immersed in it until the end.  Definitely something to invest in, for sure!
