Happy Saturday!
This week's genre for the rotation is Strategy games, so be prepared for some thinking, I hope :)
First, let's cover this Daily Deal.
Dark Ritual follows the story of an FBI agent helping you (also an FBI agent) find her lost younger sister. You're brought to a creepy mansion/lab type deal, where a mad scientist lives and works on his experiments. It's up to you to find your little sister before it's too late!
Gameplay's your standard Hidden Object, so nothing incredibly new or exciting happening there. Graphics are really nice, but as has been said before I'm super picky about my environments when I play Hidden Object games. I find the games with more modern or realistic environments to be a bit out of my interest. Soundtrack is lovely, and it really captures the creepiness of the whole thing. Definitely a go for that price, probably also for full price if you miss it today, I'm just not too caught up in the story ;)

And now for the genre rotation features!
My Kingdom for the Princess is an adorable strategy game, where a tornado has ripped through the land and awoken a fierce dragon. The Princess discovers her father has been struck by lightning, and needs to get home, but the roads are in shambles! It's up to you, the brave knight Arthur, to save the day and escort the Princess home while repairing the kingdom. Your reward? A giant castle!
The gameplay for this is lovely. You control a certain number of workers, who can build, collect resources and repair roads. Get all the tasks in each level done in the right amount of time and you can expand the castle you get as a reward. Resources will refresh over time, and certain buildings increase this number. There's also bonuses you can use each minute or so to make playing a lot easier.
The graphics in this game are SO adorable. It reminds me of a child's story book, and it's very lovely. The soundtrack is upbeat and medieval-sounding, very fitting of the theme. And it's a good enough game for a moderate casual gamer, I'd think, since I did find myself sometimes repeating levels compulsively to get them done fast, and that's where all the thinking power comes from ;) Definitely give it a go, I think I got this one as a freebie, as well as its sequel, and I'm planning on getting the third one. They'll be linked below for reference.
